My sister’s favorite mittens are a pair that I made for her in sport and worsted weight, that were basically just two pairs worn inside each other. They are SO warm but bulky. I set out to find a pair I liked in fingering weight but couldn’t find anything that fit what I had in my head. So I started knitting and this is what I came up with! I’ve named them Parti Mittens inspired by my recent interest in parti-colored sapphires. When I was looking up why they were called that, I learned that parti-colored means having sections or patches that are different colors. It was the perfect name for my new design!

Yarn notes: I used leftovers I had from other projects, this is a great way to use some scrap yarn for the smaller sizes! I used 45 grams per color for the S/M size mitts. You may need to start with a full skein of sock yarn to be safe for the larger size.
