Partly Sunny 6" Afghan Square
This tested pattern features front post stitches, working in the back loop only, and an atypical “infill” technique around the rays of the sun.
It was designed for 3 colours of yarn (A, B, C). You may use more or fewer colours, but the aesthetic of the design will change in doing so.
Pattern was written for worsted weight yarn (the designer used Loops & Threads Impeccable), but was tested with both worsted and DK weight yarn. Testers indicated that gauge is difficult to attain with heavier worsted yarns, such as those produced by Red Heart.
Please note: The designer is a VERY tight crocheter and the designer’s DK tester is a moderately tight crocheter, which is acknowledged in the pattern. Please check your gauge before you start.
DK details:
3.5mm (E4) hook
Approximately 35 yds of yarn
Gauge: 9 stitches and 5 rows of dc = 5 cm x 5 cm.
Finished size = 4.5 inches
