Inspired by fluffy white clouds on a bright summer day, Partly Sunny is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted from the top down in fingering-weight yarn. Its shape and wide wingspan allow for multiple styles of wear. If you have two pretty skeins of yarn that you have been wanting to showcase, here is your opportunity!

The first half of Partly Sunny is knitted in garter stitch short rows -- no wrapping required. Its simplicity makes it an ideal take-along project. The second half of Partly Sunny features a dramatic edging inspired by Estonian lace.

Fully written and charted instructions are included, so that you can use whatever works best for you.

Instructions for customizing the size are included in the pattern.

Total yarn required (a generous estimate):
Color A (body of shawl and picot bind-off) - approx. 440 yds/402 m
Color B (stripe and lace edging) - approx. 300 yds/275 m
