SIZES
XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL (6XL) 7XL
Sizes above correspond with the following chest measurements :
78-82 (82-86) 86-94 (94-102) 102-110 (110-118) 118-126 (126-134) 134-142 (142-150) 150 -158 cm
Measure your own chest circumference to determine which size will fit you the best.
The Party Top is designed to have approx. 4 cm of negative ease when measured under the armpit. Meaning the fit should be
approx. 4 cm smaller in circumference than your actual bust measurements.
The measurements are indicated on the diagram on page 6.
Photos above: Size M / 168 cm tall / Chest circumference: 90 cm.
YARN AND MATERIALS
The Party Top is worked in double stranding, meaning it’s knitted with 1 strand of merino + 1 strand of mohair held together.
50 (50) 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 (150) 200 (200) 200 g of Friends Extra Fine Merino from Hobbii (50g = 165m / 100% Wool)
25 (25) 25 (50) 50 (50) 50 (75) 75 (75) 75 g of Friends Kid Silk from Hobbii (25g = 200m / 72% Mohair, 25% Silk, 3% Wool)
Circular needles 3.75 mm 60 & 80 cm
Circular needles 3 or 3.5 mm to pick up the provisional cast-on stitches
Crochet hook 4 mm
French knitter: Prym 624181 Comfort Twist. Optional, but I highly recommend using the french knitter to make straps. It’s very
quick and the result is much prettier than hand-knitting. Instructions for hand knitting i-cord straps will also be given below.
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
Gauge: 19 sts x 28 rows =10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, 2 strands of yarn held together, on needle size 3.75 mm.
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Wash and block your swatch. Needle size is only a guide. If you get
too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller
needle size.
