WARNING: Some light bulbs get hot, which can become a fire hazard with the yarn. Always make sure that your bulbs are safe beforehand and, if you proceed to knit this pattern, don’t leave your lights unattended while on. See MagsIsCrafty’s comment on this pattern for more information on melting/burning temperatures of various fibers versus the temperatures of various bulbs.

During these difficult times, it helps me to think of the lovely parties that we’ll be able to have again in the future. And what better way to prepare for those than by making this fun party light garland? I might even hang it in my living room to tide me over until then!

Do you have some leftover sock yarn that you don’t know what to do with? Do you want to add some stitchy atmosphere to your home or garden? Then this pattern is perfect for you, too!

Party With The Lights On helps you to turn that boring string of lights into a true eyecatcher. The pattern includes modification suggestions to make it suitable for many types of yarn and different light strings.

I’ve also thrown in seven lace stitch patterns (cheerfully named after delicious party drinks) that you can use to truly make your sock yarn shine - pun very much intended! If you prefer, feel free to substitute your own.

Please do let me know if you run into any mistakes so I can fix them!
