This super simple blanket pattern is easy to memorize and fun to knit. Easy knits and purls create touchable texture, and it features a classic garter stitch border.

Now available in TWO SIZES! The pattern includes written instructions for a knit version and a purl version. Knit however YOU like.

FINISHED SIZES:

Security / Preemie = 17.75” W (45 cm) X 24.25” H (62 cm)
Receiving / Lapghan = 36.75” W (93 cm) X 47” H (119 cm)

Each blanket may be made longer or shorter by adding/subtracting pattern repeats.

APPROXIMATE YARDAGE REQUIREMENTS

Size A. Security/Preemie Blanket = 340 yds (311 m).
Size B. Receiving Blanket / Lapghan = 1268 yds (1159 m).

CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLES:

The Paseo Blanket is knit flat (back and forth) in one piece. I used circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches required.

GAUGE:

Knit in pattern using U.S. size 6 (4mm) circular knitting needles:
19 sts X 27 rows = 4” (10 cm).

Gauge is not critical but will affect the finished size and yardage requirements for this project.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy
If you are comfortable knitting and purling, you can knit the Paseo Blanket pattern.

NOTES:
Although the Hobby Lobby yarn is listed as a worsted weight (4) yarn, I find that it performs more like a light worsted / DK weight yarn. I was able to obtain the same gauge in both using the size US 6 knitting needles.

Finished size and yardage requirements may vary depending on your yarn choice and gauge. Be sure to buy additional yarn if you plan to add length/width to your blanket project.
