Description

Pasila (neighbourhood in Helsinki, Finland) is a cardigan knitted top down with set in sleeves.

Pasila is true wardrobe stabiliser with simple classic form. You can knit it with one colour or stripe it based on the yarn available in your stash.

Shoulder line before separating sleeves is knitted with moderate positive ease. There is slight shaping for waist and room at hip and hem to avoid the stretching of the cardigan while sitting. There are instructions also to option without the waist shaping.

Body of Pasila is knitted back and forth with o-neckline. The length of the cardigan can be changed based on your wishes and yarn amount.

Sleeves are knitted in round. Armpit stitched are picked from body and no sewing is needed at armpit. Sleeves are straight below elbow. After that there are moderate decreases before cuffs. The first round of the cuff includes decreases to narrow sleeve circumference to have only a small ease around wrist.
Neckline is knitted with stockinette stitch and folded as double to give structure to Pasila.

Hem, cuffs and button list are knitted with garter stitch with moderate decoration. Bind off technique supports edges creating finalised touch to the cardigan.
