Pasqu
Inspired by knotted wool rugs from Morocco, this blanket reinterprets the traditional crocheted granny square as something bold and unexpected. Working in strongly contrasting black, white, and marled yarns further accentuates the architectural nature of the design, though explorations in color will be equally stunning! The blanket is composed of two larger center diamond blocks, two side half-diamond blocks, and four corner triangle blocks—all are worked individually then seamed together before being finished with a crocheted border that frames the whole. Shown here as a Large Throw in worsted-weight yarn; smaller variations may be achieved by following the pattern as written using fingering- or DK-weight yarn instead.
