Passap Trigger Mittens
This pattern features written instructions for a Trigger Mitten for Men’s medium or large sized hands. I have slender fingers, so you may need to increase the number of stitches used for the finger and thumb shafts accordingly. The width of the hand used in this pattern is 8” or 20cm.
This was knit using a Passap Duo 80, a standard gauge knitting machine.
I have not listed a yardage for these mittens because I am unsure of the total yardage required. I will knit another pair with a single skein of sock yarn to see if I can make 2 mittens with one 360 yard skein of sock yarn.
The colorway of the mitten is representative of MJ Yarns Tough Ram fingering weight yarn in the colorway Briolette. I have not tested Tough Ram on the knitting machine, but the tensions should be similar to what I have written. The cuff of these mittens was knit using MJ Yarns Simple Sock yarn in the colorway Steel.
In the photos you can see that the tips of the fingers end up very pointed, I am in the process of testing different decreasing methods and amounts to avoid such pointy fingers. This is my first Passap pattern and suggestions for edits are very much appreciated!
