It is exactly what a beanie needs to be : warm, stretchy, cozy, and…fun and easy to knit !

That is why I named it “Passe-partout”, that is “Goes-everywhere” !

The pattern, easily memorized, is both written and charted.

This unisex pattern comes in 5 sizes (Craft Yarn Council of America’s standard sizing) :

• baby (B) 35.5-40.5 cm/14-16”,
• toddler (T) 40.5-45.5 cm/16-18”
• child (C) 45.5-50.5 cm/18-20”,
• woman (W) 50.5-56 cm/20-22”,
• man (M) 56-61 cm/22-24”.

Skills required : Knit, Purl, basic shaping techniques (K2tog, P2tog), knitting in the round with DPNs or a circular needle (Magic Loop).

“Passe-partout” est un petit bonnet texturé tricoté en rond, qui emboîte bien la tête et couvre bien les oreilles.
Pour obtenir un bonnet un peu “slouchy”, il suffit d’ajouter un motif en hauteur (= 12 rangs de plus).
Le motif est très facile à mémoriser, et comme il est tricoté avec des aiguilles n° 5, l’ouvrage monte très vite !
Ce modèle est unisexe, et disponible en 5 tailles :
bébé (tour de tête de 35,5 à 40,5 cm) ;
petit enfant (tour de tête de 40,5 à 45,5 cm) ;
enfant (tour de tête de 45,5 à 50,5 cm) ;
femme (tour de tête de 50,5 à 56 cm) ;
homme (tour de tête de 56 à 61 cm).
