Passion and Reason Shawlette is a two-color crescent-shaped shawl knit in DK weight yarn. The shawl has an embossed leaf/vine running horizontally across the bottom of the shawl and a garter/stocking stitch body knit vertically to the top cast off edge. The leaf lace pattern is knit first using main color (MC) for the total length of the shawl. Using a contrast color (CC), the stitches for the body are then picked up along an edge of the lace, and knit to a crescent shape using German short rows. The design provides a choice of either a garter body or a stockinette stitch body, followed by an eyelet border.

The shawl is an ode to the two polarizing aspects of Jane Eyre.
