This pattern is mind-boggling by its simplicity, but the finished look is sophisticated. The result is this comfy and intriguing cowl.

It is knit in the round from the bottom up. This cowl begins with a traditional 2X2 ribbing, followed by a horizontal braid and a simple special stitch worked over 2 rounds. The braid and ribbing will be repeated at the top to make the cowl symmetrical. This cowl pattern is offered in 2 different sizes: the smaller size is a simple cowl made to fit once around the neck, while the second one wraps twice snuggly. I recommend using a yarn that has a lot of lust and depth, to get the best out of the pattern. This pattern was professionally tech edited in 2021.
