Pastel Splash
A Little About This Pattern:
The Pastel Splash handbag is the perfect bag accessory for your Spring and Summer needs. Designed with function and simplicity in mind, it works well for advanced beginners and experienced crocheters alike.
This handbag uses 2 strands of yarn held together for the main part of the bag, and is worked from the bottom up. The pattern includes detailed written directions, along with a short video tutorial and helpful reference photos for adding a very comfortable shoulder strap. The addition of the shoulder strap will give you options for wearing the handbag over your shoulder or carrying it by using the built-in handles. The shoulder strap can be made to any length desired for the best possible fit.
CROCHET HOOKS:
I (5.5mm) - Used for the main bag body
H (5.0mm) - Used for the top band of the bag
(4.5 mm) - Used for the shoulder strap
Feel free to use any cotton yarn or hook size that feels most comfortable to use with your yarn selection. To achieve a very similar finished look, I highly recommended using the yarn used for the sample bag. Total yardage will vary depending on the yarn selected, hook used and personal tension.
