Pastel Tricolor Shawl
Hi, I’m Victoria from The Crafty Octopus. Thank you for making this PAstel Tricolor Shawl. It’s an intermediate pattern. I hope you enjoy making it as I enjoyed writing it!
I used three different colors: grey, pink and white. I used Alpaca Classico with merino wool from Schachenmayr (50g and 90m).
Here are the specific yarns I used:
• Alpaca Classico from Schachenmayr – color 36 Fuchsia
• Alpaca Classico from Schachenmayr – color 1 White
• Alpaca Classico from Schachenmayr – color 94 Kiesel Mélange
I used 4 skeins of each color, so 12 skeins of yarn in total.
Everything is worked in rows. We start in one corner, go to the middle of the shawl and work our way up to the next corner. It will look like a V. If this is your first shawl, you will notice that the beginning will work really fast and the ending really slow. I ended up with 447 stitches in the last row. But I personally like that pacing.
Special techniques:
- Bubble stitch
- Lots of color changes
- Picot stitch for the border
This shawl is created in 50 rows, row 50 is the border.
