The pattern is for the Patagonia Cardigan, a chunky cardigan made in garter stitch. It is loose knitted so it is lightweight, soft and warm.

It comes in four sizes. Finished measurements for the different sizes are:

Bust circumference: 96, 106, 116 and 126 cm.
Total length: 68, 70, 72 and 72 cm.

I recommended knitting the cardigan with positive ease (4-10 cm) to wear it loosely, so choose a size some bigger than your body measures. Total length can be easily modified by knitting more or less rows.

To knit this cardigan you will need the following materials and skills:

Stitch: garter stitch (knit every row).

Yarn: between 450 and 550 meters (490 - 600 yards).

Needle size: 10 and 12 mm (US 15 and 17). The pattern is made to work with straight needles. However, since the piece of the body is quite big, you can use circular needles.

Other material: stitch markers, stitches holders and tapestry needle.

Gauge: tension is 8 sts and 12 rows for a 10 x 10 cm square with 12 mm needles.

The pattern includes detailed written instructions as well as charts of the body and the sleeve.
