Patch Cowl! Knit a cowl out of patches. Slouch it and turn it different ways to create different looks; choose which color dominates on a whim; add vibrance and color to your autumn and (mild) winter outfits.
Patch Cowl uses about 300 yards of sockweight yarn evenly divided between two colors. You’ll need roughly 150 yards of each.
Colors are evenly balanced, but the .PDF uses MC/CC (Main Color/Contrast Color) terms for ease of use.
Work is flat AND in the round; no one will be happy.
Gauge:
Gauge is 21 sts and 46 rows over 4”/10cm of blocked stockinette worked in the round. Please be sure to check your gauge.
Materials:
- About 150 yds of MC and CC, or two skeins of Malabrigo Sock, shown in Frank Ochre (MC) and Candombe (CC)
- 1 24” circular knitting needle in US4/3.5mm, or size needed for gauge.
- 4 removable stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Crochet hook suited to yarn used
- Smooth scrap yarn in similar weight to working yarn, for provisional cast-on
