Patches Pullover
Try your hand at knitting the ultimate classic gansey shape (without the headache of keeping track of changing stitch patterns) with the Patches Pullover. This cozy sweater features many characteristics of the classic square-shaped gansey. It is knit in the round from the bottom up, has drop shoulders, shoulder straps, and underarm gussets. It has a double rib hem, cuffs and collar with optional buttonhole. And just for fun, there are directions for two different patterned elbow patches: stockinette stitch (or reverse stockinette) and seed stitch.
