Pattern difficulty: intermediate

• Worsted weight yarn, 4 medium
o Body color (Color A) – approx. 70 yds/1 ounce
o Foot pad color (Color B) – small amount
o Wing and Tentacle Color (Color C) – approx. 15 yards
o Patch colors – small amounts of however many or few you want and a small amount of black for stitches
• Crochet hook, size H(5mm)*
• Tapestry needle
• 18mm safety eyes (2)
• Fiber fill, approximately 4 ounces
• Stitch markers, if working in continuous rounds

Gauge – for a 5 ½ inch doll, there should be approximately 4 single crochet stitches per linear inch. If you tend to crochet loose, use a smaller hook. For example, the designer used a 3.75mm hook, while the writer used a 5mm; both dolls came out at 5 ½ inches.
