This digital pdf crochet pattern for a sturdy, everyday tote bag is my original design inspired by colorful retro leather patchwork bags. This crochet version has sturdy panels, strong handles and ample space to carry everything you need.

The design features five different stitch patterns for the patches placed vertically and horizontally. The contrast of different stitches creates a rhythm of texture and movement. The robust waistcoat stitch brings it all together for the bottom, sides and handles.

It is worked using 100% cotton yarn which produces a soft and durable fabric. I’ve used this great fall color palette, but you can customized it to any color palette you love. Even monochrome! The handles are also easily adjustable to the length you prefer.

Difficulty level: Beginner to Intermediate.
