The Pathway Tee is essentially two squares seamed with two openings for the armholes. The lace pattern on the back is easy to memorize, and the lacy back makes the tee an especially delightful addition to any summer wardrobe. Using different needle sizes for the front and back accommodates the drastically different gauges in the stitch patterns.
Finished Size 38 (42, 46, 50, 54, 58)” bust circumference. Tee shown measures 42″; modeled with 10″ of positive ease.
Yarn Shibui Knits Twig (46% linen, 42% silk, 12% wool; 190 yd 174 m/1¾ oz 50 g): trail, 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins.
Needles Sizes 4 (3.5 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm): straight. Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ and 24″ circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Removable markers (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 28 rows = 4″ in Garter Lace patt on smaller needles; 16 sts and 28 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles.
