Pathways Shawl
Designed for a friend who was frustrated with a knitting project, the Pathways Shawl was created as an interesting knit that mirrors the pathways we take in life… Some things start out nice and simple, predictable almost, and then change mid-path and become more challenging – but if you stick things through, you often end up with beautiful results!
The majority of the shawl features easy-to-memorize “lace knitting” with patterning on the right side only. The feathered edge is a less logical “knitted lace” with patterning on the right and wrong side rows. The final edging is simple crochet, but could easily be substituted with a knitted bind-off.
Errata: Set Up Chart - rows 7 and 8 should not be knitted. Please proceed to Chart A after knitting row 6 of set up chart. Patterns purchased after 2/11/2011 have been corrected.
