This is the same pattern stitch as my other Patinoire pattern, but this one was created for fingering weight yarn.

When I was a kid, I didn’t wear much wool socks. There was a special occasion when I would put woolen socks on: when I went skating outside at the skating rink (la patinoire in French). Sometimes, the weather was incredibly cold! I imagined a pattern that I could still wear with my ice skates; classic and warm.

One kit from M signature, Bouvier Bernois fingering (75% merino, 25% nylon), 425m per 100g in Pêche and Bleu poudre colorways or equivalent.

Quand j’étais enfant, je ne portais pas souvent de bas de laine. Cependant, il y a une occasion où je partais avec mes chaussettes de laine aux pieds, c’était pour aller à la patinoire extérieure. Il faisait si froid! J’ai imaginé un patron que je pourrais encore porter avec mes patins, classique et chaud.
