Patrick and Patches
Both of these patterns work up quickly using blanket yarn(#6)! They can also be made in worsted weight (#4) with a smaller hook!
Materials:
K /6.5mm Crochet Hook
2 Skeins of Bernat Blanket Yarn or Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn in colors of your choice
A small portion of worsted weight yarn in black
Yarn needle
Safety eyes: one pair of 35mm
Polyester fiberfill stuffing
G or H hook if using worsted weight (#4)
E hook for the bow
Abbreviations:
MR – magic ring
SC – single crochet
SL ST – slip stitch
INC – Increase (make 2 sc in the same stitch)
SC DEC – single crochet decrease
BLO – back loop only
CH – chain
ST - stich
Notes:
This pattern works in a continuous round, from the bottom up!
If safety eyes are not available, they still look cute with felt or crochet eyes!
If you crochet really tight like me, you may want to use an L/8mm hook instead!
If using safety eyes, be sure to place them before you attach the heart patch, and the other before you start stuffing!
Patrick and Patches can also be made with worsted weight yarn for a smaller size, using a G or H hook (depending on tension) and 18mm eyes!
