Materials Needed:
6.5 mm Hook (or size to get ~3 stitches per inch)
Worsted weighted yarn (4ply) : Red, White, Blue
White Felt – you can cut out a star or use a machine like the “Cuttlebug” to punch out a ~1” star (I used the smallest star: Sizzix 657567 Framelits 5 Die Set, Stars )

Abbreviations:
Sc: single crochet
Hdc: half double crochet
Sl st: Slip stitch
Ch: chain
Sts: stitch
Fpsc: front post single crochet
Fphdc: Front post half double crochet
