This was inspired by the knit pattern “Protest is Patriotic” by Craftivist Elizabeth Sovern. I had (and will now resume) selling kits for my modified version of the knit pattern (using beads) and this crochet version. The last photo shows the crochet and knit side by side.

I had always wanted to do a crochet version because of course we should have both. Now that I am dyeing the yarn for it and no longer worry about yarn being discontinued, here we are!

The kits can be used with either the knit or crochet pattern. I am excited to be able to offer hand dyed USA organic cotton or superfine superwash merino/nylon.

If stash-diving, you’ll need AT LEAST 15g of blue, 70g of white, and 70g of red, all fingering. Be careful to get the right size beads as well.
