This free pattern provides instructions for one patterned and one plain  stitch washcloth, both 8 inches square. One skein of the recommended  yarn will make one of each washcloth. 

The gauge for each washcloth is different: 6.25 stitches per inch for the patterned washcloth, and 5 stitched per inch for the plain washcloth.
