Pattern 2: Inspired by History
Historical examples are the design inspiration for this pair of gloves. The pattern on the cuff is found in a pair of liturgical gloves in the collection of the Design Museum in Barcelona, while the pointed fingertips are similar to those of a pair in the Glovers Trust Collection. This pair is knitted in silk, like the early gloves. It could also be knitted in other fine yarns, such as cashmere, or in heavier yarns to give a larger glove.
