The neck is worked from bottom of back piece up to the neck, and stitches are casted off for the neck opening. From here, the left and right shoulders are worked separately, with increases shaping a rounded neck opening. The work is then gathered and worked down over the front piece while decreasing on each side to narrow the front piece. At the neck opening, stitches are picked up which are worked in a traditional rib, and finished with an Italian cast-off.
