I was inspired to design a reversible backpack for my son’s friend, Patty. I wanted to make her one of my bags but she couldn’t decide between the reversible drawstring bag and the backpack. I decided to designed a bag that combined the two.

The bag takes 5 balls of crochet thread. Begin by choosing one color that will work on both sides of the bag. This color will be used around the top of the bag, the strap and throughout both bags. For each side of the bag, pick 2 colors each that coordinate with your primary color. The design of the bag makes it easy to reverse.

The pattern requires intermediate level crochet skills. The pattern is very detailed ( with pictures ) and guides you through the entire process.

Bag dimensions: Base = 6 1/2 “ Height = 9”

The bag can be worn as a backpack or over the shoulder.
