Patty’s Wrap is a crocheted tribute to the knitted design, Happy Street, by Veera Valimaki. It is worked from the top down in lace-weight yarn. Formed using short rows of bold stripes, the final wrap is a symmetrical, crescent-shaped shawl.

After blocking, the shawl/wrap is 87.5 inches (208 cm) along the outer curve and 15 inches (38 cm) at the widest point.

The following stitches were used: chain, foundation single crochet, single crochet, slip stitch.

Patty’s Wrap is named for my marvelously talented friend, Patty--designer, knitter, crocheter, weaver.

Note on yarn usage: The pattern calls for (3) 600-yd hanks (65g each) of lace-weight yarn. When I finished crocheting, I had 4g of main color, 27g of contrasting color one, and 17 grams of contrasting color two remaining. So, it is possible to make this shawl with fewer yards/meters of yarn than what is stated here.

The pattern pdf includes 14 photos, a print-and-go page, and recipe information.

We would like to thank our wonderful tester, Teri DiLibero, for testing this wrap for us.

Please send me a message if you have any questions about this design, or join us in our group, CrochetWorks. We love to talk about crochet and yarn:)
