This high street hotty is sure to make your friends coo! Measuring 18cm/7in from his pigeon chest (well, what else?!) to his pert posterior and approximately 22cm/8¼in when seated, Paul is the wobbly-eyed waddler that your windowsill has been waiting for! And, just like a real pigeon, Paul enjoys pecking at odds and ends so you’ll only need small amounts of yarn to make your very own feathered friend!

Materials
50g/1¾oz/125m/137yds light grey DK yarn
15g/½oz/42m/46yds DK yarn in each of the following: dark grey, purple, dark green and lilac
Oddments of cream DK yarn
A pair of 2¾mm straight needles
A pair of 12mm sew on googly eyes
Scrap yarn to use as stitch markers
Tape measure
Toy stuffing
A tapestry needle and large-headed pins for sewing up
A sewing needle and strong thread (for attaching the eyes)

All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles (although most can be knitted in the round). They’re then seamed and attached using mattress stitch.

You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by a professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow!

The boring bit…
This pattern is intended for personal use so it’s fine to print it out but please don’t sell it, share it on the internet or make multiple copies. What you can sell (more money for yarn – YAY!) is finished items made from this pattern so long as you’ve made them yourself and it’s not on a commercial basis. Please remember to credit me as the designer!

And finally…
I’d love to see your finished pigeon so please share him or her on Facebook, Instagram and Ravelry!
