After the huge popularity of my paw print gloves, I decided to sit down and
design the matching socks. These are perfect for dog or cat lovers, professional dog walkers, groomers, veterinarians or just animal lovers in general. These are knit cuff down in DK weight yarn on
3.25mm needles, in four sizes from child to large adult. The paw print emblem is
created using intarsia in the round. I used Drops Karisma in “dark grey mix”,
“medium grey mix”, “chocolate brown” and “light oak” for the sock colour and “
black”, “white” for the paw prints and Drops Lima “powder pink” and “almond”
for the paw prints.
If you have never knit intarsia or intarsia in the round please don’t be put off. It
is more simple than stranded colour work. Although I don’t give instructions in
the pattern, I do guide you to YouTube tutorials for this technique so you can
knit your colourwork chart.
These socks knit up very quickly and are so snuggly, perfect for bed socks, welly socks or slipper socks
