Pawpaw Throw
Did you know the Pawpaw tree produces the largest edible fruit trees native to North America? I didn’t either. This stitch is ‘technically’ a pineapple stitch but I think we should change it (just this once), to the Pawpaw Stitch.
MATERIALS
Lion Brand Yarn Feels Like Alpaca (273yds/250m; 3.5oz/100g; 87% Acrylic, 7% Polyester, 6% Nylon)
7 Skeins Mustard (151-159C)
Size US I/5.5mm Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
GAUGE
Due to the nature of this yarn and stitch, the gauge can be tough to measure in the pattern. I recommend crocheting a small swatch of double crochet 16 stitches across and 6 rows high to measure 4 wide and 6 inches long. Give this a block with some steam and measure. Change hook size as needed.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
About 48 inches square
NOTES:
3-dc Cluster: (Yo, insert hook in next stitch, yo draw yarn through st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook) three times, yo, draw yarn through all loops on hook.
