Anyone who’s shared their lives with pets knows that they leave their marks in many ways - sometimes the furniture, sometimes the walls, but always our hearts. This design was inspired by the pets I’ve cared for over the years. They didn’t always have paws - but they always left their marks in my life. A great gift for the pet- lover in your life, or treat yourself to a visible statement that declares your own heart, complete with the tracks left by your own adopted family members.

Uses 350 yards of main colour and 100 yards of contrast colour wool or merino, in DK/8ply ot 10ply/worsted weight. The sample is made in Malabrigo Rios: Plomo and Ravelry Red.

You will need 3.5mm needles (circular or flat, since this piece is knit flat). You’ll also need a tapestry needle for the contrast overstitching in the small motifs.

Finished size after seaming, laid flat: 42cm x 25cm.
