Pazita is a little hatchling of a Leatherback Turtle (I have a bigger version called: Paz. A Leatherback Turtle). If made with the material as in the pattern, Pazita will measure approx. 5” (13cm) long, perfect size for a baby mobile or baby toy.

The head and body are made in one piece and the flippers are made separately and sewn to the body. For the details on the body, you’ll need to make some surface stitches.

DIFFICULTY: This pattern has been rated Advanced beginner to Intermediate, because of the surface stitching and neck construction.

STITCHES: You’ll use: sc (inc, dec, FLO), slst and hdc. Optional: crab stitch.

MATERIALS: To make Pazita you’ll need:
* Main Color (MC): 30g of grey yarn (Charcoal). Other options are blue, brown or any color you like!
* Contrasting Color (CC): 15g of cream or a lighter color than your MC
* Crochet hook: 3.5mm to work with WW yarn, or the best size for the yarn you are using.
* 8mm safety eyes or round buttons. You can adjust the size if you want.
* Markers or spare yarn
* Stuffing material, yarn needle and scissors
* A little square of white (or cream) felt (approx. 3”x3” or 8x8cm).
* Sewing needle and thread (or fabric glue) for the plastron.

OTHER INFO:

• As with other amigurumi you can use any other yarn weight and a hook appropiate for that yarn.
• Pazita has the head a bit turned to one side, so don’t worry if she seems not to look straight at you :)
• The pattern in English is available in US terminology and in UK-AU terminology.

Pazita es una pequeña cría de tortuga laúd (tengo una versión más grande llamada: Paz. Una tortuga laúd). Si se hace con el material como lo señala en el patrón, Pazita mide aprox. 13cm de largo, tamaño perfecto para un móvil del bebé o juguete del bebé.

La cabeza y el cuerpo se hacen en una sola pieza y las aletas se hacen por separado para coser al cuerpo. Para dar los detalles del cuerpo, tendrás que hacer algunos puntos en la superficie.

DIFICULTAD: Este patrón ha sido clasificado Principiante Avanzado a Intermedio, debido a los puntos en la superficie y a la construcción del cuello.

PUNTOS: Usarás: pb (aum, dis, bucle frontal), pdes y mpa. Opcional: punto de cangrejo.

MATERIALES: Para hacer a Pazita necesitarás:

• Color principal (CP): 30g de estambre gris. Otras opciones son azul, marrón o ¡cualquier color que te guste!
• Color de contraste (CC): 15g de estambre crema o un tono más claro que del CP.
• Gancho: 3.5mm para trabajar con el estambre grueso (WW/10ply), o del tamaño que mejor se ajuste para el estambre que vayas a utilizar.
• Ojos de seguridad o botones de 8mm. Puedes ajustar el tamaño si lo deseas.
• Marcadores o hebra de estambre para marcar.
• Material de relleno, aguja lanera y tijeras.
• Un pequeño cuadro de fieltro blanco (o crema) (aproximadamente 8x8cm).
• Aguja de coser e hilo (o pegamento de tela) para el plastrón.

OTRA INFORMACIÓN:

• Como con otros amigurumis puedes utilizar cualquier otro tipo de estambre y el gancho apropiado para ese estambre.
• Pazita tiene la cabeza un poco volteada hacia un lado, así que no te preocupes si parece que no estan viendo de frente :).
• El patrón en español usa vocabulario común en México.
