Tams are typically used to display stranded colorwork motifs but they can also be used for more classic designs like lace, cables, or other textured patterns. The Peaberry Tam features a simple lace brim that’s easy enough for beginners but also suitable for more advanced knitters looking for a relaxing project.

The tam begins with a pretty lace brim before increasing for the full body of the hat. When the length of the body is complete, decreases are worked to create the classic wagon wheel shape for the crown before finishing with a little I-cord bobble.
