I named this hat for what I needed when I knit it: peace. This design came to life amidst a difficult season. I needed a project to calm my worried hands and comfort my hurting soul. It had to be something small that I could easily carry around with me. I wanted to knit in one solid color to avoid spending energy envisioning a cohesive palette. No fussy stitches. No special techniques. Something basic, but beautiful.

This hat comforted me, and now they it my offering to you. Peace to you, my friends, as you knit.

May you be well. May you be happy. May you be free from suffering. May you find peace.

NOTES
Design & Construction: The Peace Hat is a beanie-style hat with a generous single-folded brim. It is worked bottom-up beginning with the brim, which is knit in 2x2 ribbing. The body of the hat features an allover textured stitch pattern composed of knits, purls, and lotus stitch.

Fit: This hat is designed to fit with 10 to 15% negative ease. To pick the best size for you, measure your head circumference at the fullest point. Multiply this number by your preferred ease and then subtract the result from your head circumference. Make the size with a finished circumference closest to that number.

Stitch Patterns: Written and charted instructions are included for the textured stitch pattern so you can choose your preferred method of instructions for knitting these sections!
