Peace Sign Soccer Ball
This is a crochet pattern that includes one hexagon design and one pentagon design that can be assembled into a soccer ball.
When made with a fuller worsted weight yarn (like Red Heart, Caron One Pound, or Vanna’s Choice), the finished ball ends up being about 37” in circumference. If you were to make it with Caron Simply Soft or Deborah Norville’s yarn, I would use a smaller hook (4.0 mm would be what I would try first).
You will need enough yarn to make 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons, as well as 2-3 pounds of fiberfill depending on how firmly you want to stuff it and how big your soccer ball is.
This project does not require a lot of yarn, and it lends itself to making use of any particle skeins you might have around that need to be used.
