I named these socks for what I needed when I knit them: peace. This design came to life amidst a difficult season. I needed a project to calm my worried hands and comfort my hurting soul. It had to be something small that I could easily carry around with me. I wanted to knit in one solid color to avoid spending energy envisioning a cohesive palette. No fussy stitches. No special techniques. Something basic, but beautiful.

These socks comforted me, and now they are my offering to you. Peace to you, my friends, as you knit them.

May you be well. May you be happy. May you be free from suffering. May you find peace.

NOTES
Design & Construction: The Peace Socks are knit top down with a traditional heel flap, turn, and gusset. The leg features an allover textured stitch pattern composed of knits, purls, and lotus stitch.

Fit: These socks are designed to be worn with approximately 0.25 to 1 in. (1 to 2.5 cm) of negative ease. To pick the best size for you, measure the circumference of your foot at the fullest point (this is usually right where your foot and your ankle meet) and subtract 0.25 to 1 in. (1 to 2.5 cm). Make the size with a finished circumference closest to that number.

Stitch Patterns: Written and charted instructions are included for the textured stitch pattern so you can choose your preferred method of instructions for knitting these sections!
