In support of Peace, I’ve created this free pattern for all to enjoy.

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

This has just the chart with the stitch definitions & how to read my particular charts. No row-by-row info is incuded in this free pattern.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

The chart shows 4 colors: BLACK for the lettering/border/flower center, YELLOW for the flower petals, WHITE for the background (use any color you like - the sample image has turquoise), and pink for the Peace symbol (the sample image shows white but you can also use the background color if you don’t want to switch during those rows). When using medium weight #4 yarn and a 5.5mm hook, you will need approximately 4 oz of yarn total - 2 oz (100 yds) for the A rows and 2 oz (100 yds) for the B rows. Great way to use up scraps!
