This pattern is available for free.

For “Woolinale”, Germanys first international yarnbombing festival 2023 in Cologne, I’ve written this pattern.

By crocheting one or multiple peace symbols you can be part of Woolinale’s community project: We hope to get as many of these crocheted (or knitted) peace symbols to present them in public during Woolinale Cologne in march 2023 as a strong sign that peace is something our world needs the most, especially now.

Find out more about Woolinale and the peace project online: www.woolinale.de. You find the pattern, both for crochet and knitting, and also a video tutorial to follow along. And you also find the adress where to send your peace signs if you want them to be a part of Woolinales community project.

As you only need a few basic stitches, this project is suitable for both crochet/knittiung beginners and pros. You only need a few inches of yarn - any yarn, any size. Crocheters and knitters can use scraps as well. Size and gauge are not an issue here - pick whatever yarn you like or have at hand.

As one of the three volunteer organizers of Woolinale Cologne 2023 I’d be happy to have you as a part of our community project, sending a sign of peace to the world.
