Thank you for choosing my Peaceful Ambience Lantern pattern,
A little background on the creation of this lantern—I love to relax, entertain, socialise and crochet in a place that has a peaceful ambience. I love soft lighting like candles and pretty lanterns. So I came up with this simple yet pretty lantern that ticks all the boxes for me. Even without lights inside, it is a stand alone decoration that makes any space feel that much more desirable.
I’ve made mine in my favourite yarn, Camilla Batik by Madame Tricot, but it can be made in a solid colour to match any furnishings. With or without lights I am sure the place you hang your lantern will light up by just adding it to your décor.

With this pattern you have 2 Alternative finishes to create different looks.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Finished Size:
Alternative 1 -Approximately 72cm long (tip of hanging loop to bottom of tassel) x 25cm wide (lantern on its own measures approximately 35cm long)
Alternative 2—Approximately 42cm long (tip of hanging loop to the 10cm ring at the bottom) x 25cm wide.

Tools Required:

• 3.5mm Hook
• Tassel maker
• 3 beads timber or glass with a 2mm centre hole. (Optional)
• 10 cm Ring and 25 cm Ring.
• Scissors, Yarn Needle, ST Markers.
• Small set of battery operated lights (try to get a clear or white wired set as the dark coloured ones tend to show through)

Yarn Requirements:
I’ve used Camilla Batik 100gm / 250m ball x 1, 2 x Scheepjes Catona Mini 10gm / 25m balls in complimentary colours.
Alternatively I have also used Scheepjes Catona in a complete plain colour taking 2 x 50gm / 125m balls.

The pattern is written using US terms and UK Terms.
