Peacekeeper Mandala
This pattern lets you creative using a variety of fibers & materials- you can add the fringe to the sc stitches, the ch 1 spaces, or both! Happy Hooking!
Depending on your gauge & size of hoop, you can repeat round 7 if the motif doesn’t quite fit in the ring. It will stretch quite a bit when you are stitching it into the hoop. You can also get creative and add other types of creative stitches and make it uniquely your own.
Materials Needed:
-
5.00 mm (H) crochet hook or to meet gauge for your hoop
-
Worsted weight acrylic yarn in various colors - For added texture in the fringe, I used a colorful variety of acrylic worsted weight yarns, a fun mix of art yarns, dyed sari silk fabric, and strips of cut up fabric.
-
Fabric scissors
-
8” or 9” Metal hoop - For this pattern I used an 8” hoop. I buy them wholesale from a jewelry supply shop in the macrame hoop section. You can order them online wholesale, and I’ve also seen them on eBay under “diy dream catcher hoops”.
