Peacock feather pillow - Among the Peacocks
I am sorry but there’s a mistake in the written instructions.
Row 16 should be as follows:
17sc, 22Dc, 4Sc, 3Dc, 1Sc, 5Dc, 2Sc, 4Dc, 1Sc, 2Dc, 3Sc, 2Dc, 5Sc, 1Dc, 3Sc.
Peacock, with its unique feathers, is an inspiration for many artists and designers. Their special colourful feathers, which are changing colours in different angles, are just perfect examples of natural beauty.
This pillow/tapestry is made using overlay mosaic crochet for the front panel and traditional crochet for the back panels, if you are making a pillow. It is quite easy but very effective technique, using only sc and dc, alternating colours each row. The pattern contains a digital chart, full written instructions,mosaic crochet explanation, advice on how to read the chart, photos, written pattern for the back panels, assembly instructions, tapestry instructions.
The actual digital chart is 75 stitches by 75 rows = pillow size 40 x 40 cm.
Each chart can be used to make the pillow, wall hanging, a bag, anything you like…Your creativity has no boundaries and I would love to see what you
make!
You will need two contrasting colours to make this pattern. I have used DK / 8 ply yarn.
For a pillow:
160g of black yarn
60g of colour changing yarn
100g = approx 280m
