Peacock Ridge
Spy the eye of the Peacock in the lace while an abstract fan of feathers appears in the swings between lace and Stockinette Stitch sections. Beautiful central quadruple decreases create a lovely lace patterning offsetting structural stockinette in Peacock Ridge. Let your stitches take flight while you show off your favorite yarns and beads. Parade your skill with short rows with this unexpected asymmetrical construction. Construction begins with a short row top edge cast on and transitions into long wingspan length rows. Learn a few new skills as you sashay across the base with mini short row bind offs.
The tech edited and test knit intermediate level pattern is written with the lace both written and charted. The pattern also includes several how-to videos and a schematic.

Special Notes:
- Bead It: optional beads are shown on the shawlette, single skein, sample.
- Bead & Decrease It: if beading, work decreases so that bead is on the top of the decreasing group of stitches. It may require some rearranging of stitches prior to working the decrease.
- BO It: BO 3 (with wts), BO 4 (with wts), and BO 5 (with wts) are specialized pattern instructions. See page 32. For a photo tutorial, see pages 66-67.
- Wrap It: pick up wraps, if desired. Sample shows all wraps picked up in body of shawl and wraps left in place in decreases near the edge.
- Weigh It: this design uses just shy of 200 grams. If you are concerned about yarn chicken, you may wish to either purchase an additional skein or in Lace Border, work until the end of Row 3 (instead of end of Row 7) and then jump to Bind Off.
