You can make this shawl in Lace or sock weight yarn.
This rectangular shawl is knitted from the centre out, beginning with a provisional cast on. The first side is worked before picking up the loops from the provisional cast on and working the second side.
The pattern has full line by line written instructions, and is also fully charted. There is also a photo tutorial showing the bead as you go technique. Beading the shawl is optional.
The size is easily adjustable but yarn requirements will vary.
There are several options for you to choose from.
Size: The pattern comes in two widths, small 18-20”) or large (20-22”), but you can make any width you like by increasing the stitch count by 20 sts, yarn requirements will change.
Edge pattern:
There are two choices for finishing this shawl, the individual ‘points’ version as shown in the top picture and here or the ‘full rows’ version shown here.

Yarn:
This shawl can be made in lace or sock weight yarn.
Small: 860 -945 m/ 940 -1034 yds.
Large: 1000 - 1100 m/ 1094 - 1203 yds.
Needles and Notions:
4 mm (US 6) needles or size to obtain gauge. Needles long enough for 125 sts.
Needle to darn in ends.
Beading is optional:Seed beads 396 (small), 468 (large) size 8 for lace, size 6 for sock and a beading tool.
Waste yarn and 4mm crochet hook for provisional cast on.
Gauge:
On 4 mm (US 6) needles using lace yarn 24 sts and 26 rows to 4” after light blocking.
Size (when made in lace weight):
Length: ~78”/198 cm, width: ~20”/51 cm (small) ~22”/ 61 cm (large).
Skills required:
Provisional cast on, knit, purl, yo, k2tog, K3tog, sk2p, ssk, sssk, bind off.
