Peacock Tea Towel
This tea towel was specially designed for Tunie’s 70th birthday. She lives in Australia in a peacock palace in a peacock paradise. You guessed it …. she LOVES peacocks. It was quite a few years ago that we ‘found’ each other when she decided to knit my peacock dishcloth. Eventually she became my test knitter, and her input and expertise have been invaluable to me … as well as her time that she invests in these knitting projects.
I found this yarn at a thrift store. It is lovely to work with and the tea towel is so soft … however, it can be a little splitty but not enough to cause me any grief. My usual go-to for yarn is Bernat Handicrafter cotton, and it would work very well for this pattern, although the measurements and amount needed to knit the tea towel most likely will not be the same.
The finished dimensions are 12 1/4”W x 18 1/4”H and my tea towel weighs 94 gr.
Thank you, thank you, Tunie for test knitting this pattern for me!!
