Peaks is a fun and quick cowl to knit designed with softened chevrons for a sophisticated elegance to the angles of the flowing colours.

Designed to taper up to the neckline for a classic and elegant fit.

Best part? It only takes one ball of this amazing yarn from Hayfield. (The yarn only looks and feels expensive) I like that part too! Check your gauge so that you are sure to have enough yarn.

Simple enough for beginners and interesting enough for more advanced knitters.

Measurements: Without blocking: Neck opening – 24”/ 61cm. Bottom of cowl – 32”/82 cm.
Depth – 9”/22 cm. Measurements are approximate.

Gauge: 15 stitches by 28 rounds in garter stitch = 4”/10 cm. Gauge is not critical but can affect finished size
and yardage required.

Yarn requirements:

Hayfield Spirit Chunky, 80% Acrylic, 20% Wool, 100 grams, 169 yds/ 155 m.

Cowl # 1: # 405 Casper. (4 grams leftover).
Cowl # 2: # 407 Mystery. (4 grams leftover).
The third sample is with Colour #402, Melody. (7 grams leftover).

Needles and Supplies:
10.5 US / 6.5 mm 24” / 60 cm circular needles. (or size required to achieve gauge).
5 stitch markers, including one unique marker to indicate start of rounds.
Tapestry needle.
