Pear
Crochet pear pattern with leaf.
The pear is such an attractive shape. These make lovely hanging ornaments year-round in colours to suit the seasons.
Like all my fruit and veg, this pear is designed to be realistic and approximately life-sized when made in double-knitting (light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn, with a 3.5mm (E-4) crochet hook.
Discounts apply when you buy all three of my fruit patterns. See my Fruit Bundle for details.
For a pear 6cm (2¼“) in diameter you will need approximately the following quantities:
- Main colour: 24m (26 yds)
- Brown: 1.2m (1½ yds)
But of course you can make mini or mammoth, fuzzy or sparkly fruit with different yarns and an appropriate hook!
The pattern includes detailed notes on yarn quantities and types, and stuffing choices.
The pattern is available in either UK or US crochet terminology in two separate documents for maximum clarity. Both files are included in your purchase, and you can just choose whichever you prefer to use.
Important features of my crochet patterns:
My crochet patterns include BOTH a detailed ‘tutorial-style’ set of instructions with colour photos, AND a succinct unillustrated pattern using standard crochet conventions.
I have developed this style because I find I like to see a lot of detail the first time I work a pattern, but if I then work the same piece again, I don’t need the pictures, etc, and indeed they can get in the way when I just want a quick reminder of what I’m doing. The PDF is also structured so that the succinct version is on a single page, making it easy to just take one sheet of paper with you if you have printed it out for quick reference on the move.
All my patterns come with full support! If you have any difficulties, please contact me. Rest assured I am a real person and I’d love to hear from you and see pictures of your finished pear! :-)
Please see my other patterns for more fruit and vegetables. A discount is available if you order more than two patterns.
