About the design:
The “Pearl Sweater” is worked top down, holding two strands of yarn together.
The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch with sections of a pearl pattern on the front, back and sleeves.
The numbers of pearl pattern stitches is constant throughout the work.
Finished measurements:
Sizes: 1 (2) 4 (6) 8 (10) Years.
Chest: approx.: 60 (64) 68 (75) 80 (84) cm.
Body length: approx.: 22.5 (24.5) 27.5 (30.5) 34.5 (38.5) cm.
Suggested yarn and yardage:
- Yaku, 100% Merinowool, 200 m /50 g from CaMaRose.dk, two strands hold together. 4 (5) 6 (6) 7 (8) skeins.
OR
- Alpaca 160 m / 50 g TOGETHER WITH NZ Lammeuld (lambswool) 225 m / 100g both from G-uld.dk Alpaca 3 (4) 4 (4) 5 (5) skeins + Lambswool 2 (3) 3 (3) 4 (4) skeins.
Suggested needle size:
Circular needle sizes: 4.0 mm: 40 cm, 4.5 mm: 60 cm, 5.0 mm: 40, 50 and 60 cm.
Double pointed needles (dpns) sizes: 4.0 mm and 5.0 mm.
Gauge:
Needle Size 5.0 mm in stockinette stitch, 18 sts x 25 rounds = 10 x 10 cm.
